Robert E. Burns, and his two partners Robert V. (Buddy) Pendarvis and James A. (Doodle) Pendarvis established R. B. Electric in l978.  Buddy and Doodle had opened B & D Electric in 1966, and Robert worked for them in the residential and commercial electrical fields. As the business grew and expanded, they decided to open a separate company for commercial electrical contracting and Robert Burns became president of R. B. Electric. Today, it has grown to a successful company with 50 full time employees and annual sales of $6 to $7 million. 

Robert’s son, Kenny Burns, began working for R. B. Electric as an electrician’s apprentice in 1984.        He has followed in his father’s footsteps and is currently president and general manager of  R. B. Electric.

R. B. Electric employs two well-qualified estimators and project coordinators. Mark Landry and Daniel Haggard each have over thirty-five years experience with R. B. Electric; starting out as electricians’ apprentices, then becoming journeyman electricians.  They work closely with general contractors, architects and business owners on a wide variety of projects at many different levels.

Jimmy Gosserand, our field supervisor, has been with R. B. Electric since 1992. His years of experience as a journeyman electrician provide valuable assistance with the quality of work performed in the field, service and scheduling.

On the job safety is a top priority to R. B. Electric. We require pre-employment and random drug testing to ensure high safety standards at all times.  R. B. Electric will do the job safely and efficiently.  We carry all necessary state and local licenses, along with the required insurance policies for our customers.
